In just a few weeks, campus will be buzzing with excitement as the Samford University community comes together for the 2023 Homecoming Weekend. This year holds some special, new events, as well as many of the same highly anticipated ones offered every year.

Homecoming is a time to reunite with former classmates! As part of Homecoming Weekend, the Classes of 1973, 1998 and 2013 will be celebrating reunions on campus on Saturday, October 28. The Classes of 1998 and 2013 will host a breakfast in the University Center. The Golden Bulldog Luncheon will take place for alumni that graduated 50+ years ago, where we will recognize the Class of 1973 as they celebrate their 50-year reunion. Make sure to grab your tickets today!

This year, the Friday night event will look much different than in years past. Join alumni, students, employees and friends for the official weekend kick-off at the Samford Homecoming Quad Party! There will be games, inflatables for children, music and food trucks. Registration is not required for this event. Come ready for a special time of fun and fellowship.

Another special treat this year is the Homecoming Lecture Series on Friday. Four Samford faculty members will be giving lectures on topics ranging from campus architecture to artificial intelligence. Casey Ramey, executive director of alumni and philanthropic engagement, shared her excitement for this new series, saying, "The Samford Homecoming Lecture Series will provide alumni and friends with the opportunity to learn more about the topics selected as well as hear from Samford's incredible faculty.  We look forward to alumni joining us on campus for this series."

On Saturday, there will be tailgates hosted throughout the Quad, starting at 11 a.m. and closing at 1:30 p.m. which is 30 minutes before kick-off. Various departments and organization from all over campus will be hosting these tailgates. After a morning full of fun, we will all head over to Seibert Stadium to watch our Bulldogs take on the Citadel!
